You may be aware that we had programmed our annual spring course maintenance to take place this week but given the current weather conditions this is having to be reviewed.
With the current lying snow, predicted overnight frosts and very wet greens it is likely that we will have to delay coring operations until next week.
This will result in a rolling programme of up to six greens being closed at a time and the use of temporary’s. The ongoing forecast is encouraging and our aim will be to have the course fully operational by Good Friday.
This decision is not one that has been taken lightly, and whilst we understand it will result in some disruption, the work required is vital to the preparation of our course for the summer.
The Head Greenkeeper and his team will take all possible steps to minimise any negative impact and we ask for your understanding and co-operation.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.

Chair of Greens.
