Results - Final Captain's Away Day - Yeovil GC - Friday 22nd Sept

Over 50 players took part in the Final Club Captains Away Day at Yeovil GC on Friday 22^nd September

There were many members from all sections of the club supporting Clive Jones Away Day. The course was in great condition especially the greens and a good day was enjoyed by all including an excellent Coffee and Bacon Roll on arrival with Ham, Egg and Chips after the 18 holes. Weather stayed fine all day apart from the final few groups who encountered a spot of rain to welcome them home

Men's

1st Prize – Peter Johnson - 39 pts

2nd Prize – The Captain - 36 pts on countback

3rd Prize – Tom Gallagher - 36 pts on countback

4th Prize – Andy Fulton - 36 pts

5th Prize – John Cousens - 35 pts on countback

Ladies

1st Prize – Elaine Sutton - 26 pts

Nearest The Pin Prize Winners

Nigel Sharp – 2^nd Hole, Dave Purver – 13^th Hole and Jon Elcock – Nearest the pin in two on the 18^th Hole

Two’s Pot

Bob Kellaway- Moore, Andrew Hunt, Pete Gale, Nigel Linford, Karl Stenning and Dave Purver

In addition, the Captain ran a ‘Charity’ competition which included Hidden Holes, Birdie Draw and on two Par 3’s try and get it   within the 10ft string

Winners were as follows

Hidden Holes (2^nd, 5^th, 13^th and 14^th Holes)

Ron Rogers and John Cousens – 10 pts each

Birdie Draw – 18 Birdies and 1 Eagle were recorded on the draw, the following members were lucky to be drawn

Nigel Linford (who made the Eagle). Pete Gale, Micky Briggs, Peter Knowles and Jon Elcock

OVERALL WINNER – Best Combined Score from the 3 Away Days with 103 points – Well Played Steve Fripp
