Parkstone brought a very good side to Ashley Wood for the return league match with two scratch players leading the way for them.
The top match was a tough contest with 8 birdies between the two players on the front nine with a combined betterball of 7 under. On the back nine the away player finally came through with further birdies on the 14th and 15th securing the win on the final hole.
Max Cogdell played second and managed to claim a half against another scratch player which included an eagle two on the 12th from Max.
Solid Wins for the home team followed from Tim Norman, Tam Reid and Angus MacPherson all winning 3&2
Unfortunately Brett Townsend was called away on a family emergency when he was 1up after 7 holes which gave another point to the away team.
Mick Boyle came up against a very solid 9 handicapper losing 4&2
Which meant that Nick Blazier brought home the winning point and was the only member of the team having to give shots winning by a narrow margin of 2&1
Team winning 4.5 to 3.5
Well done to our team against a very strong Parkstone team who we wish well against Wareham Golf Club in the 2nd leg of the Cup Final on Sunday 3rd September.
