Members of The Ashley Wood Golf Club, Seniors' Section were generous in their fund raising efforts in 2024. Donating, through a number of different charity events, a total of £2,500 for the Seniors' Captain's nominated charities of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) and the RNLI
Seniors' Captain, Steve Cheshire, met with members of the RDA at the Pembroke Centre, an RDA Centre in Wilton, on 20th November. The cheque, for £1,250, was presented on behalf of the Seniors' Section, the photograph attached shows; Jackie Worrall the Wilton Chair of Trustees, Victoria who rides regularly at Wilton, Puzzle (the horse), Steve, Clare Prysbet the RDAs National Fund Raising Manager and Claire Hacker the Pembroke Centre Manager.
Then on the 28th November it was the turn of the RNLI to receive their cheque for £1,250. Again it was presented by Steve on behalf of the Seniors' Section. Fund raisers from the RNLI Blandford Branch were kind enough to come up to The Ashley Wood Golf Club, the photograph shows Steve with the Chair of the Blandford fundraisers, Kathie Underwood and their Treasurer Martin Kerlogue.
