Another glorious Bank Holiday, blue skies and sunshine everywhere, though there was that tricky north wind blowing that Ashley Wood is noted for.
The Course was looking very inviting in the sunshine, as fourteen Mixed Pairs went out to play in the Annual Hames Cup Greensomes Stableford Competition. A nice format to play in any mixed competition.
Our thanks to the greenkeeping staff who once again provided a well manicured Course for everyone to enjoy.
Some great scores returned, accompanied by the usual banter from the players.
Before the results were announced they all enjoyed a welcome meal provided by Lee and his team at Clubhouse 1896.
