We are expanding our Greenkeeping team at The Ashley Wood GC, based in Blandford, Dorset and are looking for an experienced Full Time Assistant Greenkeeper to join our current team of 5 full time staff and help improve the Course and build on our reputation of one of the best Courses in Dorset which offers excellent value for money to members and visitors.
The Ashley Wood GC is a free draining 18 Hole Downland Course with spectacular views over the Dorset Countryside
The successful candidate will be required to work full time (40 hours per week) and to include some overtime weekend work according to an agreed rota.
Desirable Experience / Attributes would include:
- NVQ L2 in sports turf
- PA 1 2 Spraying Certificates
- Chainsaw Certificates
- At least 2 years Greenkeeping Experience
- Have an excellent eye for detail
- Good Communication Skills
- Cutting all playing services, changing holes, setting up the golf course for play, preparing bunkers, spraying and disease control.
- Ensuring the courses are presented in the best possible condition to exceed members and visitors expectations
- Ability and Competency to operate a wide range of green keeping equipment.
- Willingness to undertake specific training on machinery and other working practices
- Ability to work on their own or as part of a team
- Hold a valid Full Driving Licence

Remuneration:
- Annual Basic Salary of up to £27,500 depending on Qualifications & Experience
