Another bit of Ashley Wood History which is over 93 years old and has just come to light.
Albert E Cooper (Bert) won the trophy back in 1927 for a hole in one on the 2nd when it was a Par 3. His grandson Colin posted the Trophy on our Social Media and please see Albert with a collection of his trophies including the Hole in One Trophy you can just see in the bottom corner
Bert was a golf pro at a Golf Club but his Grandson was unsure where and was told he played a lot with Peter Alliss’s father.
A great bit of History and a wonderful trophy to have been kept for so many years
