This Chapter focuses on the sections within the Club from 1974 onwards
Unfortunately the Pond on the 7th has now gone… Who can remember losing the odd ball in there?
Some familiar names mentioned including Emma Price, multiple Ladies Club Champion and a very good golfer!
During the 80’s and 90’s we had a very strong Junior Section mainly thanks to the organisation from Hedley Rodgers who is still an active member and his wife Sheila. His two sons were very good golfers with Peter now being the Head Pro at Barton-on-Sea Golf Club and his brother Nick the General Manager and Pro at Came Down Golf Club. The good work was then continued by Tony Hart who sadly passed away a couple of years ago
Thanks also to the BGGS who helped the Club during this time and to this day we still have strong relationship with at the Club!
The Seniors Section was formed during this period and now boosts over 150 members in this section.
