On the recent August Bank Holiday Monday which turned out to be just about the hottest day of the Year
24 members played a Mixed Greensome Competition for the Davidson Shield.
To every ones credit every player finished the 18 holes, even if wilting.
Following a lovely meal provided by Club House 1896 the prizes were announced’and presented by the Ladies Captain Val Carder
In 3rd place were Gill Philip & Club Captain Peter Johnson with 34pts
2nd place were Paul Wilkinson & Daphne Saxby with 37pts
1st place were Husband and Wife pairing Clive & Sue Hampton also on 37pts but winning on countback
