On Sat 17th Aug it was the time of another Pro’s Day.
Earlier in the week it was looking touch and go to whether we would be going ahead with it this year, but thankfully the forecast improved and the day greeted us with sunshine and a nice breeze.
112 players teed it up in a revised bowmaker format, 2 scores on par 4’s, 3 on par 5’s and all four on par 3’s.
On the day we also had a fantastic Raffle, silent auction, name on a fiver, superb prize table. On course challenges as well as refreshments on holes 14 & 18 and finished with a hearty pork bap.
The Pro Shop team were trying to put on a fun day for our members, and judging by the laughter and the comments from the day this was achieved, with the icing on the cake being able to raise some money for a fantastic local Charity Leaf ~ Leukaemia Educating & Fundraising based in Wimborne and helps blood cancer patients across Dorset & West Hants.
