Today saw the return of the Cross Country Competition which hasn't been played for a number of years
Over 90 members played in this enjoyable event which included a hole played from the 8th Tee to the 7th Green
The results were as follows
Winner - Steve Sandford - 40pts
Runner Up - Colin Gale - 38pts
3rd - Colin Miller - 37pts ocb
4th - Robert Balchin - 37pts ocb
5th - Clive Jones - 37pts ocb
Ladies Winner - Penny Meaden - 28pts ocb
Nearest The Pin 13th (All) - Dave Atherton
Nearest the Pin 16th (Men) - Mike Bird
On two of the Nearest the Pins no one found the green in the required number of shots due to a strong cold wind so prizes were not awarded
On the 4th which was the Ladies nearest the Pin, unfortunately some Men thought they could win the Prize and put their names on it which made it void. A random draw took place from the Ladies cards and the Winner was Val Carder
Thanks to Vice Captain Peter Johnson and Vice Vice Captain Chris Wyatt for the idea and organising the event and we hope everyone enjoyed the day!
